  • 2021 Bien Nacido Vineyard Syrah

    100 Points

I would gladly put this side by side with the greatest Côte Rôtie out there, and it's a magical, seamless Syrah that could come from nowhere else.

  • 2023 Bien Nacido Chardonnay

The nose offers mineral and ocean-influenced aromas of lemon pith, salt brine, chalk and struck match. The palate is medium-bodied with bright acidity and tightly wound notes of nectarines, key lime pie, sea salt and grapefruit. Very thoughtful and well made.

  • 2022 Ledge Estate Grenache Blend

Cohen’s pick: 30 Paso Robles 2022 standouts. 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah. A nose of cherry pie and crushed violet petals is followed by a palate showcasing concentrated red fruits and a robust structure. An 'iron first in velvet glove' wine, with both strength and delicacy. Best laid down for a few years to allow the tannins to soften, and the structural and flavour elements to harmonise.

  • Some of the most delicious and drinkable Rhone wines of Paso Robles while farming his home vineyard in one of the few sandy soil sites of the county. - Elaine Chukan Brown, Jancis Robinson

  • Ledge has quickly become one of Paso Robles’ best addresses for intensely flavored, yet balanced wines.
    - Josh Raynolds

  • The 2022 Estate Grenache Blend has wonderfully chalky tannins and great freshness framing the bright red fruit layers, finishing long and savory.
    - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

  • Ledge Vineyards admirably highlights Paso Robles's natural power and punch and frames it in a pure, vibrant package with a palpable authenticity.
    - Matthew Luczy

  • Mark Adams delivers an impressively elegant yet forceful estate blend.
    - Matt Kettmann

  • This is a big, powerful Paso that sacrifices neither focus nor savory nuance.
    - Jon Bonné
